Cvt is the clutch/belt system on these, the cover is on the left side of the motor. Stator would be the generator in the motor it is under the fan cover behind the fan and inside of the flywheel. The coil is what the spark plug wire runs to and has 2 leads on it. I would proceed this way, grab a new plug or 1 you know works, test it for spark. If you have spark then the plug was bad, if not then the coil would be the next spot to check check the wire and the boot is the plug snapping in there okay?

There is a wiring harness coming out of the right top side out of the fan cover this is the stator harness there is a plastic plug and 2 wires on bullet connectors check them, there is a ground wire on the cvt cover that would be the 1st thing to check or any other test wont. From there that would leave you a bad CDI which is the black rectangular thing or a bad stator which both you would need a replacement part to assure it was the prob and for the stator you need a special puller. The key switch and the kill switch could also be factors. Key switches go bad and kill switch go bad or sometimes stick.
